Protect Our Precious Duck River

 ​Gabe Howard, Maury County Commissioner, has been a vocal advocate for the protection and preservation of the Duck River. He has publicly opposed legislation that could harm this vital waterway, stating,  "The Duck River is one of our most precious natural resources that we must continue to have a voice for. As our community grows, we have a responsibility to explore every option that protects the river and secures our long-term water needs. That includes having serious conversations about bringing back the Columbia Dam project. We can’t afford to be short-sighted when it comes to water security for future generations, while continuing to protect and preserve OUR Duck River."
